The anticorrosion Viscoelastic adhesive tape should base on non-crystalline low viscosity polyolefin tape with self healing along with polymeric tape outer wrap. It should be easily applicable for wrapping of irregular shape fittings i.e. Weld Joints, Bends and service Tees in underground Gas Distribution Piping System with minimum surface preparation.
Composition:
The anticorrosion Viscoelastic adhesive tape 
should be reinforced with inert fiber matrix. The tape roll must be
formulated with a removable plastic film at the time of application.
anticorrosion Viscoelastic adhesive tape should be provided with suitable outer wrap for mechanical protection; the purpose of which is to provide additional pressure to support cold flow of compound tape and self healing properties of complete coating system.
Characteristics of the tape:
The application should be easier and fast, self vulcanizing and compatible with Asphalt, Coaltar and PE coating on the Gas Pipeline structures.
